Daryl Mitchell (51 not out) and Santner put on a 123-run partnership in the 14th over with the captain winning.
However, the Dutch had their chances and their fielding let them down.
This includes four dropped catches – Santner’s two catches when Tim Pringle Lost the ball for 43 runs off his own ball and then 56 runs.
Despite losing the opener Martin GuptillBowled for two by Pringle, New Zealand never really looked troubled.
“We played much better today,” Santner said after the match.
The pitch also played very well and the intention we showed throughout the innings was fantastic.
On the Dutch side, rising star Bass de Leede again performed exceptionally, following in the footsteps of his father Tim, another Dutch international cricketer.
De Leede hit an unbeaten 53 off 48 balls as the Netherlands posted a respectable 147-4.
In another solid batting performance on a sluggish wicket, de Leede, who scored 66 in Thursday’s first T20I, hit two sixes and three fours in his 53.

The Kiwi bowling attack was less dangerous than the 16-run win over the men on Thursday, but still proved difficult to get away with.
Despite opening with wide, Bracewell bowled a tight line and combined with pacers Blair Tickner and Ben Sears to make it difficult for the Dutch batsmen.
But 22-year-old Dee Leede added 57 runs for the fourth wicket with this experienced player. tom cooper Joe scored 26 before driving down Mitchell’s throat at long-off.
