The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a charge sheet against a 35-year-old PhD scholar from Tamil Nadu in its ongoing probe into a case related to Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAM), an official release said.

According to the release, a case has been registered against one of the accused and other unidentified persons for creating, collecting, seeking, browsing, downloading and exchanging/distributing sexually explicit material etc. to children in electronic form. it was done.

The accused was found sexually abusing a girl child for the last four years, the release said.

“It was alleged that the accused was sexually abusing a child for the last 4 years. It was also alleged that the accused forced the victims to perform sexual acts with other minor children including a minor victim girl ” release.

The accused took photographs and recorded videos, forced them to watch sexual acts with other adults, threatened them to publish the photographs and videos on social media and bring in more minor girls.

Giving details, the release said the CBI received images and videos of child sexual abuse material from Interpol’s Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) database, which revealed that some of the victims were allegedly being sexually abused by male persons. .

The release further mentioned that the accused had been sexually abusing eight children in the age group of 5-18 years for a few years.

“Investigation has revealed that the accused had been sexually assaulting eight victim children, both male and female, between the ages of 5-18 years for a few years. On other minor children,” the release said.

“She also recorded the sexual exploitation of young children; criminally threatening minor victims; coercing and inciting minor victims into sexual activity with other minor victims and using children for pornographic purposes, where most minor victims are still were also under the age of 12.”

The accused has been arrested and is currently in judicial custody.
