CBI operation in Meerut in case of child sexual abuse after Interpol’s information

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on the coordinates of the police force Interpol, on Friday raided a house in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut International in connection with the sale and distribution of pornographic material highlighted in the case. A senior official said the agency had received notes from Turkey’s capital Ankara about the sale and distribution of cinematographic material over the Internet.

The CBI further investigated the nomination received through Interpol. On the basis of that, the agency officials raided the house of Mohammad Nisar alias Nisar Saifi, a resident of Zakir Hussain Colony in Meerut.

Officials said that was fraudulently using various social media platforms like WhatsApp etc. He was involved in advertising, promoting, calling attention to, or directing the use of, collecting, soliciting, browsing, or downloading child pornographic and sexual images, videos, etc.

He said that, Mohd Nishar mobile number was used to create accounts on social media platforms like WhatsApp etc. He was creating text or digital images depicting children in an obscene, indecent or sexual manner. It was for the purpose of providing or distributing material in electronic form.

A case under the IT Act has been registered against the incident. Officials said that, “The matter is being investigated to further investigate his suspicions in this case and to identify the other identity.”
