The Central Bureau of Investigation has raided the Jodhpur residence of Agrasen Gehlot, brother of Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot. Agrasen Gehlot is a fertilizer trader and he has also been questioned In an alleged fertilizer scam earlier by the Enforcement Directorate, This comes amid nationwide protests by the Congress over the ED probe on Rahul Gandhi.

Agrasen Gehlot has been accused of exporting subsidized fertilizers between 2007 and 2009 when the UPA government was in power.
According to sources, Agrasen Gehlot, during the period from 2007 to 2009, conspired and exported large quantities of Murate of Potash (MoP) abroad, at a subsidized rate to Indian farmers.
“The MoP was for the poor farmers of the country. Agrasen Gehlot, through his company Anupam Krishi, bought the MOP at a discounted rate and later sold it to countries like Malaysia and Vietnam at a higher rate.”
