CBSE Term 1 Result: After expecting one of the fastest results ever, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Students have to wait for more than two months to get their Term 1 scorecard. When the MCQ-only exams were announced, it was expected that CBSE would declare the results at the earliest, especially because half the exams were screened on the same day and even the preliminary answer keys were released. Was given, however, two months down, there is no official date of result yet.
For the over 30 lakh students awaiting their Class 10 and 12 Term 1 results, here’s a look at what might be delaying the process:
Changes in the evaluation process: CBSE gave exams midway, told schools Stop checking answer sheets of students on the same day, This has derailed a process a bit. The new process was also lengthy. Schools were asked to pack and seal the OMR sheets within 15 minutes after the examination in the presence of an invigilator. The observer had to sign and seal the parcel and send it to the regional officer where it was to be delivered for checking, again remembered for calculation of the result.

Errors and Revaluations: Several errors were exposed by the students and teachers in the CBSE Term 1 exam. While CBSE acknowledged that errors can happen, it also highlighted that there is a well-defined process to keep a check on the same, study the objections and make changes if the objections are correct. However, the process is time consuming. Since a large number of errors have been recorded, this may also affect the deadline for the final result.
Fraud charges: There were also reports of a section of schools cheating in the CBSE Term 1 exam. Though there is no confirmation on this yet, CBSE will investigate all the allegations before declaring the result. The CBSE School Management Association alleged that schools helped their children by asking questions in advance or by asking them to write C in front of questions they did not know the answers to; Since c can be changed to a, b and d depending on the correct answer. Now, in term 2 exam, CBSE has not given students their own schools as the examination centre.
