NS central board of secondary education (CBSE) on Wednesday announced that the registration of class 9 and 10 students for the 2021-22 session will begin from December 15.
“The process of registration will start from December 15 (Wednesday). The link for registration will be available at www.cbse.nic.in,” the board said in a notification.
It said that in 2022-23 only those students would be allowed to appear in the class 10, 12 board exams, whose names would be submitted through the online process of registration.
Therefore, as per the board, it is imperative that the schools ensure that the students being sponsored are their own regular and genuine students and that the name of any genuine student is not left unsponsored.
Apart from this, the schools also need to see that the students are not from any unauthorized/ unaffiliated school, regularly attending classes in their institution. and is not registered with some other school education boards other than CBSE.
They should also check that the students are eligible for admission in class 9 and 11 and appearing in class 10 and 12 board exams.
“In case of admission to class 11th, it may be specifically ensured that the student has passed class 10th examination from a recognized board,” CBSE said.
In this context, it is also mandatory for the schools to register themselves before proceeding for online submission. Schools should use ‘Affiliation Number’ as the User ID, which is already available with them.
“The newly affiliated schools should approach the respective regional office of CBSE to obtain the school code and password, if they have not already received the password,” the board said.
“New schools must first enter the information on the OASIS portal. The information on OASIS should be filled very carefully as schools will not be allowed to change the class/number of students declared later,” the notification said.
However, CBSE advised schools to upload correct data as no window for correction will be provided from this academic year.
