However, if a candidate falls short by just one mark or so, CBSE may consider awarding grace marks to help them meet the passing criteria. The decision to grant grace marks is made in specific cases and is aimed at supporting students who narrowly miss the pass mark.

To enhance transparency and ensure fairness, CBSE has revised the post-result grievance redressal process for Class 10 and 12 students. As per the updated guidelines, students must now first apply for a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheet. Only after receiving the copy can they request verification of marks or seek re-evaluation. This marks a shift from the previous system, where students first applied for mark verification, then obtained the photocopy, and finally requested re-evaluation.

Last year, the CBSE results were declared on May 13. The overall pass percentage for Class 12 was recorded at 87.98%, while Class 10 students achieved a pass rate of 93.60%, reflecting a 0.48% rise from the previous year.

CBSE Board 10th, 12th Result 2025 Live Updates: A total of 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board exams this year. Of these, 24.12 lakh students took the Class 10 exams in 84 subjects, while 17.88 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 exams across 120 subjects.

The CBSE Board has begun distributing DigiLocker access codes (6-digit PINs) to Class 10 and 12 students, ahead of the CBSE Board Result 2025. These codes will enable students to access and download their digital marksheets, migration certificates, and school-leaving certificates once the results are announced.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a clarification regarding a fake letter dated May 2, 2025, circulating on social media. The Board confirmed that this letter was not issued by any authorized CBSE official.

CBSE further stated that no offiial announcement has been made yet regarding the declaration of Class 10 and 12 results for 2025. The Board urged students, parents, and the public to stay cautious and avoid trusting or sharing unverified information online.
