The record-setting success of ClassAct 2022, Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz, has inspired HT School to come back with the second edition of this grand national level online school quiz this year.

As we celebrate the 74th Republic Day on 26th January, HT School will be conducting the Prelims Round of ClassAct 2023-Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz, giving budding quizzers from Grade 1 to 12 across the country a chance to come under the quizzing limelight. ClassAct 2023-Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz is a great opportunity for aspiring quizzers to assess and improve their general knowledge skills while matching their wits with their peers from across the country. The quiz will be conducted in two rounds: prelims on January 26 and finale on February 5. While everyone who has registered can participate in the prelims, the top 100 scorers from this round can participate in the finale. All finalists will win an Amazon gift voucher. Similarly, the top 10 scorers from Grade 1 to 5 after the prelims will be awarded with exciting Amazon vouchers.

Prelims will be conducted asynchronously where the quiz link will be sent to the registered email ID of the participants. It will be active only for a specified period by which they have to submit their responses. Both speed and accuracy will be the deciding factor behind the score. This round will challenge the participants with 50 questions including both multiple choice and type-in ​​options.

On the other hand, the finale will be conducted live on Zoom and will be hosted by two of India’s most respected quizmasters Dr. Naveen Jayakumar and Avinash Mudaliar. Dr. Jayakumar is an Ophthalmologist by profession and has recently been elected as the President of the Neuro-Ophthalmological Society of India. Quizmaster by passion, he is a founding member of The Quiz Foundation of India. Dr. Jayakumar has been the Quizmaster of well-known national level quizzes like Landmark Quiz, Murugappa Madras Quotient School Quiz and Rotary Galaxy Science & Technology Quiz etc. He also hosted ClassAct 2022, The Hindustan Times Republic Day Quiz. Shri Mudaliar was the Quizmaster for Power of Ideas Print Quiz, Airtel Quiz-O-Mania, Airtel’s TechQ and NTPC Electron Quiz etc. He has also hosted quizzes for leading corporates and reputed institutes. He also co-hosted the first edition of RDQ with Dr. Jayakumar.

Sharing his insights on ClassAct 2023, Dr. Jayakumar said, “I am looking forward to hosting the quiz on Republic Day this year. Looking at last year’s record-breaking turnout, I am hopeful that the enthusiasm of the students will break last year’s record as well. ClassAct’s second edition. The finale will be telecast live on the official YouTube channel of HT School and the winners will be selected purely on the basis of their performance.

ClassAct 2023 will be an exciting battle of wits, challenging students to hone their quizzing skills as they dominate at the buzzer. It will be a general quiz covering everything from current affairs around the world, science and technology, history and geography, literature, culture and tradition, food, sports, festivals and general general knowledge.

The previous edition of ClassAct saw a massive registration in the Prelims round of 50,611 students from 32 countries across 5 continents. It also created a record with 19,625 contestants participating in this round.
