Delhi Police on Tuesday filed a chargesheet in a national capital court against alleged swindlers Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his wife Leena Marie Paul for duping the wife of former Ranbaxy promoter Shivinder Singh. ₹200 crores.
The names of 12 others are also included in the final report filed by the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police.
Chandrashekhar and Paul are in judicial custody along with some other co-accused in the case for allegedly duping Shivinder Singh’s wife Aditi Singh.
Additional Sessions Judge Praveen Singh placed the charge sheet for consideration on December 1.
The accused have been charged with cheating, criminal conspiracy and other offenses punishable under the provisions of the IPC and the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA).
According to EOW, Chandrasekhar, Paul and others used hawala routes and formed shell companies to park the money earned from the proceeds of crime.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar and others were also recently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in the case.
