‘Charging infrastructure action plan for Delhi’ expected to be launched at 4th Delhi EV Forum – Times of India

Delhi is set to host the 4th annual Delhi Electric Vehicle Forum on August 10. The latest installment of the Forum will celebrate two years of successful implementation of Delhi’s EV policy. PTI reports that the government will also launch a ‘Charging Infrastructure Action Plan for Delhi’ at the event.

Delhi EV Forum Provides a platform to a broad group of stakeholders and enables continuous engagement to help implement Delhi EV Policy through forum meetings. It was established in December 2020 by the Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of Delhi.
The 4th Delhi EV Forum will be held at NDMC Convention Centre. The DDC is also expected to release an internal report that will reflect the journey of Delhi EV policy from 2020. Also, ‘switch’ Delhi EV AwardsIt will also be launched to honor the leaders of the e-mobility sector in the capital. It will commend 15 categories of leaders who contribute in making Delhi the EV capital of India.

In 2022, EV sales have been around 10 per cent of total new sales on a monthly basis, the highest ever in India, clocking a high of 12.5 per cent in March 2022. This was a sharp increase compared to 2019-20 when EVs accounted for only 1.2 per cent of new vehicle sales. A statement issued by the DDC said.
