Apart from the filling, parota, or Indian flatbread, pairs perfectly with any curry or dish. Flaky bread is also very easy to make and can be eaten at any time of the day. What makes it a favorite option is that it can be enhanced by adding different flavours. A wide variety of ingredients can be stuffed into scrumptious breads, from cheese, and potatoes to cauliflower. Today we bring to you the recipe of Chef Saransh Goila’s Hare Pyaaz Ka Paratha or Scallion Pancakes. In a video on Instagram, the chef has explained the step-by-step process of making deliciously crunchy parrot.

To start making it, organize the ingredients below.

All purpose flour – 2 cups

Chopped green onion leaves – 1 cup

Salt – tsp

lukewarm water – cup

Hot for making Green Onion Paratha

Step 1: Knead half a soft dough by mixing 1/2 cup lukewarm water and 1/2 tsp salt in 2 cups of all purpose flour and keep it for half an hour.

Step 2: In a bowl add cup chopped onion and cup hot oil and mix it well to make a paste.

Step 3: Divide the dough into six equal parts and roll them out as thin as possible.

Step 4: Take two spoons of green onion paste and spread it evenly on the parota.

Step 5: Roll the bread and cut it into equal sized pieces like a pinwheel.

Step 6: Now, layer them on top of each other.

Step 7: Take the flaky pieces and fold them around your fingers to make a ball again.

Step 8: Knead the loose ends of the dough and roll it into desired thickness with the help of a rolling pin.

Step 9: Cook the paratha on the tawa on medium to low flame.

Step 10: Paste it with some sesame oil and cook it till it becomes crispy.

Step 11: Place It in a Foil and Crush It to Reveal Each Layer.
