Rescue teams continued to clear debris from damaged buildings in the Ukrainian city of Chernihiv on Saturday, after shelling and airstrikes turned the city into ruins. Videos shared by Ukrainian emergency services showed rescuers working in a multi-storey apartment building that was partially destroyed by Russian missiles in March. According to the State Emergency Service, about 50 personnel were involved in the operation. City mayor Vladislav Atroshenko said 70% of Chernihiv had been destroyed. Russian troops withdrew from the besieged city in early April.
