Child actor Rahul Koli, who was a part of the much-awaited Gujarati film chello showHe died on October 2 at the age of 10 after battling leukemia. According to reports, the family held a prayer meeting in their native village Hapa near Jamnagar on Monday.

Ramu said that the disease was detected after the completion of the film when Rahul showed symptoms of fever which did not subside even after taking medicines. Rahul was undergoing treatment at the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute (CGRI) in Ahmedabad at that time. “On Sundays, he had his breakfast. After some time he got fever and vomited blood three times. And that’s how my child was no more. “Rahul was the eldest of our kids…we are poor, but his dream was everything to us. We had to sell our rickshaw for his treatment. When the film crew came to know about what had happened, they took the rickshaw back to us,” Ramu said.

In the film directed by Paan Nalin, Rahul played the role of Manu (the protagonist played by Bhavin Rabari), a friend of the times. The film is releasing this Friday in cinemas across the country. Notably, a day before its official release, the film will be screened in 95 cinemas across India, with tickets costing Rs 95.
