China’s third-ranked leader Li Zhanshu talks with Speaker of Nepal’s Parliament Agni Prasad Sapkota – Times of India

Kathmandu: li zanshuThe head of China’s legislature and the third-ranked leader in the country’s political hierarchy held talks with the Speaker of Nepal’s House of Representatives Agni Prasad Sapkota here on Monday, following which the two sides signed an agreement.
Lee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s CongressThe country’s parliament reached Nepal on a three-day visit on Monday at the invitation of Speaker Sapkota.
The two leaders held delegation level talks at the Federal Parliament House new baneshwar After which a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Federal Parliament of Nepal and the Chinese People’s Congress.
Li is leading a 67-member delegation that includes officials from the People’s Congress Communist Party of China, and the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Later in the evening, Sapkota will host a banquet in honor of the Chinese leader as well as members of his delegation. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba Top leaders of major parties are likely to be present at the dinner.
During his stay in Nepal, Lee will meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari and meet Prime Minister Deuba.
Lee, who is expected to retire at the Communist Party’s National Congress next month, will also meet National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and Foreign Affairs Minister. Narayan Khadka,
Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) KP Sharma Olickand former prime minister and chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal will also hold separate meetings with the visiting leader of “Prachanda” China.
Earlier this month, China had promised a grant-in-aid of Rs 15 billion to Nepal to invest in various projects this year.
