On Tuesday, superstar Chiranjeevi tested positive for COVID-19. The actor confirmed the diagnosis through his Twitter handle. The actor said he is experiencing “mild symptoms” after the diagnosis. “Dear all, Despite all precautions, I have tested for COVID-19 last night with mild symptoms and I am staying at home. I also request all those who came in contact with me in the last few days. I can’t wait. See you all back soon,” read Chiranjeevi’s tweet. Seeing the post, Jr NTR also commented: “Wishing you a speedy recovery sir! Hope you feel better soon.”

In November last year, Chiranjeevi had announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19. However, three days after his announcement, he claimed that he had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 due to a faulty test kit. Chiranjeevi then also shared the test report on his social media handle.
Chiranjeevi made his acting debut in 1978 with the film punadhirallu, He also painted in buy pranam Which was earlier released at the box office. The actor has acted in more than 150 feature films. Apart from films, he is also widely known for his philanthropy. He founded the Chiranjeevi Trust for eye and blood donation. The actor was also awarded the Padma Bhushan.
In terms of work, the actor will next be seen in the film Teacher Which is set to release on 1st April Bhola Shankar, Godfather and two untitled projects lined up with directors Bobby and Venky Kudumula.
