Now, social media users have discovered another gem. (Credits: Twitter/@sprihaxx)
CID is one such gift that keeps on giving when it comes to memes.
CID, a thriller show in its own right back in the day, has now been reduced to mere meme fodder. From ACP Pradyuman’s own “something to the gaddar hai” theory coming to a very clear conclusion, to Daya breaking down the doors every episode, the CID is a gift that keeps on giving. In the end, it’s anyone’s guess that the CID’s forensics were not scientific at all, nor that its secrets particularly mysterious. Now, social media users have discovered another gem, which is ridiculous even by CID standards. In the viral clip, one person—some sort of expert—can be seen seeing some sort of criminal who is just a “beast in human form” and apparently, such killers are often referred to as—”introverts.” “. Now introverts are often treated as if they suffer from some sort of personality flaw, but that’s it. probably Taking it a little too far. Clearly, Twitter has lost it. Perhaps a few too many have declared themselves serial killers for the world to live in.
CID, a crime-based series that first aired on Indian television in 1998, was reportedly India’s answer to Sherlock Holmes. In a span of 2 decades, ACPs Pradyuman, Daya, Abhijeet, Dr Salunkhe and Fredericks have solved countless cases either by tasting narcotics or by slapping the accused for making a confession. It was based on some basic principles. One of them was: Heroin? opium? LSD? Meth? Lashes? DNA? poverty? inflation? Send it to Dr. Salunkhe’s lab and he’ll tell you exactly what it is in seconds just from tasting it. From in-house built Google search engine to fingerprint scanner to neurocriminal database, CID has the history and records of every criminal roaming the world on a single PC. On second thought, perhaps we should have seen the introvert theory coming from the CID from a mile away.
