Due to that, many people take private cabs and depend on cab aggregators like Ola and Uber. Recently, a user who wanted to travel from the airport to Electronic City was shocked to see the prices of Uber cabs.
The man took to the microblogging site and wrote, “Uber cab fare from E-city to Bengaluru airport is dangerously what I paid for a flight ticket.” He also shared a screenshot of Uber prices. Uber Premium cost Rs 2,584 for a distance of 52 km while Uber XL cost Rs 4,051.

The prices shocked many people on the Internet. The now viral post has garnered over 80,000 views and 740 likes.
“Peak hours matter,” said one user. However, the user said that it was not peak hour pricing but six in the morning.
Another person commented, “This is madness! I think AC buses also run and can be quite comfortable, I’ve taken one to Mysuru in the past.”
“The other day I needed a cab from hsr to ec n at 10.30 pm and the lowest fare was Rs 850. Called my driver in law to pick me up instead,” shared a user.
One person also added, “Perfect. Not only the rate but also the travel time is mostly the same when flying domestic.”
One user wrote, “First they made us addicted to it and now they have started looting us.”
