Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that his government is committed to the welfare of farmers and the welfare schemes were designed in such a way to bring about a change in the lifestyle of the ryots.
“By the grace of God, not a single mandal in the state experienced drought. The water level in all the reservoirs was full and in the last three years there was an increase in the groundwater level in Anantapur district too,” the chief minister said.
Participating in the YSR Rythu Bharosa program at Ganapawaram village in Eluru district on Monday, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy credited about Rs 3,758 crore to about 50.10 lakh farmers as investment support for the Kharif crop. He said that the amount would be deposited by the end of May under the YSR Rythu Bharosa and PM-Kisan schemes.
The state government will provide assistance for the Kharif crop in three phases. That is, Rs 7,500 before kharif, 4,000 in October during the harvest period and 2,000 during the Sankranti period this year, under the YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme, he said.
Reiterating that top priority is being given to agriculture, dairy, aqua and other farmers, the Chief Minister said that the government has provided e-crop booking facility, interest free credit, crop insurance and sale of farm equipment through Rythu Bharosa Kendras. has begun to do. (RBK).
Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy informed that to encourage agriculture, ₹1,282 crore loan was given under ‘O’ percent loan, ₹5,000 crore insurance and ₹2,403 crore power subsidy was given to aqua farmers in Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, he visited the stalls set up by agriculture and horticulture farmers at Chintalpati Murthy Raju Government Degree College. Eluru District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh made a presentation on the implementation of YSR Rythu Bharosa in the district.
