CM Stalin makes surprise visit to Adi Dravidian schools in Vellore to check breakfast scheme

For T. The Chief Minister inquired about the quality of the school while talking to Mr. Anbazhagan, the only teacher present in the school at that time. Breakfast served to studentsMeal timings, number of students and availability of staff.

Spread over an acre, the school was established in October 1947 and moved to its present location in 1988, three decades ago. Presently, the school has 132 students including 73 girls, mostly from the Irular community.

Earlier in the day, the chief minister inspected the health center at Sathuvachari within Vellore civic body limits on the highway at around 7 am. The corporation has constructed 20 wellness centres, five such centers in each area at a cost of ₹25 lakh. Everyone.

After this, the Chief Minister went to the community kitchen run by the Corporation near the Collectorate, where he learned about the total number of beneficiaries and the quality of breakfast served.

At present, the kitchen prepares breakfast for 3,269 students of 48 primary schools run by the corporation. Soon, the kitchen will prepare food for an additional 3,131 students from 38 schools, Mr Stalin was informed.
