“Foot patrolling will start in all 15 police station areas of the city on Friday evening. This will help in reducing the distance between the police and the general public. The daily presence of police on the streets will also help in reducing the crimes,” said the city’s top police officer.
Pointing out that the four wheeler patrolling system was not yielding good results, Balakrishnan said he asked the station officers to identify important points in their jurisdiction and deploy patrol vehicles there for more than an hour daily, Balakrishnan said. was asked so that it could be more effective. ,
