Coimbatore: Three out of 30 disabled people who participated recruitment drive organized by Suez India Private Limited On Friday on the occasion of International Day disabled persons, Received Placement Order.
S Asha, 33, KR Kalaivani, 31 and KM Sharmila Bano, 35, received placement orders from corporation commissioner Raja Gopal Sunkara.
The firm is implementing 24/7 drinking water project in 60 wards of the Municipal Corporation. Selected candidates will be placed at Customer Facilitation Centres.
An official said the firm was looking for candidates with good communication skills and basic computer skills. “We plan to set up Grahak Facilitation Centers run by people with disabilities to create awareness and empower them,” he said.
The recruitment drive was conducted jointly with We Are Your Voice, an NGO, which aims to connect people with disabilities with employers.
