Committed to responsible and accountable administration: Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu

Shri Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu visited Kangra district after taking charge. He told the people at Dharamshala’s Zorawar Stadium that the people of the state government are committed to provide responsible, accountable and accountable administration. Bhopal said that the present state government has come to power not to enjoy power but to change the system. On the very first day of taking oath as the candidate of the state, during the Girl Care Institute, Brokandi in Paish, he took information about the working system of this institute. He felt that a lot needs to be done for destitute children, women and senior citizens as the government is the parent of these destitute children.

Hinwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government has decided to set up Chhatashree Sahayata Kosh of Rs 101 crore to provide ladder education facilities to Chitta children and destitute women. The government bears the cost of development, higher education and vocational training for such children. Actual financial assistance will also be provided to provide life to such people.
Strongly criticizing the previous BJP government, he said that more than 900 institutions were opened in different parts of the state without any budgetary provision. In view of the assembly elections, the previous government did all this just to forge alliances.

He said that the present state government has busted a huge paper leak scam going on during the tenure of the previous BJP government in Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur. Taking a bold decision in the interest of the youth, the state government has suspended the functioning of the commission. He recorded the youth of the state that the present state government would ensure free and fair examination for various posts. Hinwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government is implementing all the ten letters letter by word as promised by the Congress. The Old Pension Scheme (OPS) will be implemented in the first cabinet meeting and a decision to give Rs 1500 to women in the age group of 18 to 60 years will also be taken soon.

Similarly, phased implementation of the remaining guarantees will also be ensured. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the BJP leaders are unable to digest the humiliating defeat in the assembly elections and are doing baseless branding. The people of the state have completely rejected the so-called twin engines. During the tenure of the previous government, open bidding of jobs was being done. In such a situation, the present state government has suspended the functioning of HPSC immediately after coming to power. He also advised the BJP leaders to be serious and play a responsible role.

Mukesh Agnihotri said that the state government has taken several historic decisions during the last 21 days. With the aim of ensuring administrative financial assistance to the poor and children for higher education, the present state government has decided to allocate Rs 101 crore to the Suggested Assistance Fund. Member of Parliament and State Congress President Pratibha Singh enjoyed the people of the state for giving a massive majority to the Congress party in the recently concluded assembly elections. He said that with the overwhelming support of the people, the Congress has been successful in forming the government in the state. To accelerate the pace of development in the state, the organization and the government will work in full coordination so that Himachal Pradesh can emerge as a leading state from the point of view of development.

Sudhir Sharma, MLA from Dharamshala constituency, thanked the GRP for providing full cooperation by all the people of district Kangra. He expressed hope that under the elected leadership of Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state would look at the path of prosperity and development. Nagrota Bagwan MLA RS Bali said that the people of the district have reposed full faith in Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. He said that every common man of the state is divine that a grassroots worker of the party should reach the highest position of worker. Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania welcomed the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, State Congress President and other dignitaries. He said that the people of the district have given a massive mandate to the Congress by giving 10 out of 15 seats.
