A first year first year Delhi University student has discussed online after sharing his disappointment about not being able to find a suitable internship despite being a college topper. In his post, a student, known as Bisma Farid, revealed that he had 50-plus certificates, 10-plus medals and 10-plus trophies. She is currently graduating from Hansraj College in Delhi in English honor. However, despite his skills and grades, he is unable to take off an internship. “I am a topper, and I am unable to get an internship,” Ms. Farid wrote in her post, as she admitted that it took her a little longer to accept that “more marks more than skills matter”.
The student of Delhi University wrote, “All my professors and teachers, and relatives said: focus on their studies! Padhai Kama Aygi, this Nhi! (Study will help you, not all),” The student of Delhi University wrote. However, in fact, he said that companies are not looking for students who can read the answers, as they are looking for those who can distribute the work. He wrote, “Companies do not want to hire toppers without any skills other than Rot Learning, but those who are skilled in decent scars,” they wrote.
“Look, I am not asking you to burn your books and throw your backpacks, I am asking you to raise a skill, practice it as a habit, master it and you will get immediate opportunities!” MS Farid said.

Finishing her post, Ms. Farid shared that she had 50+ certificates, 10+ medals and 10+ trophies, but “one one did not help me in my internship interview”.
Since being shared, Ms. Farid’s post has gone viral, which led to a conversation about the skills vs mark online. Some users also said that they belong to his spirit and share their journey.
A user wrote, “Being a school or college topper may look good on paper, but in the real world, organizations gave importance to experience and practical skills than academic ranking.”
“As a topper, nothing has proved to be more true than this. The education system is reducing itself to prepare its children for the professional world,” made another comment.

“Marx matters in competitive exams and help you get a job, or at least help to go to the interview room for a job, the rest clearly depends on your attitude and skill. Stars up to 12th standard help you in some cases such as IIM/ MBB interviews such as IIM/ MBB interviews.
“Yes, degrees and certificates in the beginning, especially for interviews, but in the long run, it is your skills that matters the most. Unfortunately, schools and colleges still do not focus too much on it,” another couple.
