DMK MP Kanimozhi said at a felicitation function for the Chennai-based athlete, “Vriddhi Kumari has really broken the glass ceiling and is an inspiration to many girls who will surely follow in her footsteps.”
Ms. Kumari recently won a bronze medal at the IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) World Championships. She became the first Indian woman to win a medal for the country in her category. Other members of the MMA team participating in the World Championships were also honored during the event.
