Congress has no moral right to speak about corruption: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi hit out at the Congress, saying the party has no moral right to speak about corruption.

He was reacting to the demand of the Congress party Resignation of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai Above Lokayukta has arrested the son of BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa, He said, ‘Congress has no moral right to speak about corruption. He is the bloodsucker of corruption in the country. From the days of Jawaharlal Nehru to Manmohan Singh, the party has been involved in many corrupt deals,” he said.

BJP strengthened Lokayukta

In fact, Joshi said, the state government should be commended for the Lokayukta raids. “Having been in power both at the Center and in the state, we could have avoided the raids. However, we didn’t. Whoever does wrong should be punished. The inquiry is underway,” he said.

He said that the Congress has violated the powers of the Lokayukta. Meanwhile, the BJP government has strengthened the hands of the Lokayukta as a result of the police raids, he said. Furthermore, he said that the BJP is getting good response for its Vijay Sankalp Yatras.

PM’s upcoming visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the highway connecting Mysore and Bengaluru on March 12. He will also address a public meeting in Maddur. Later, he will inaugurate the IIT campus in Dharwad and address another public meeting.

Mr. Joshi is in Balehonnur to participate in the Renukacharya Jayanti program at Rambhapuri Math.
