The Maharashtra unit of the Congress is at loggerheads with PCC chief Nana Patole and Legislature Party leader Balasaheb Thorat.

The Congress on Thursday dispatched senior party leader Ramesh Chennithala to Kerala to assess the latest political situation in Maharashtra and report back immediately.

“The Congress President has deputed Ramesh Chennithala to assess the latest political situation in Maharashtra and report to him with immediate effect,” AICC general secretary organization KC Venugopal said in an official statement.
