Congress to launch ‘Hath se Hath Jodo’ yatra in Telangana on Monday

Hyderabad, Telangana:

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President A Revanth Reddy will start his ‘Hath se Hath Jodo’ padayatra on February 6 at Medaram in Mulugu mandal of Warangal district.

Party’s state in-charge and All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader Manikrao Thakre will attend the program as the chief guest.

“After the Bharat Jodo Yatra by Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party has taken up ‘Haath Se Hath Jodo’ to take Rahul Gandhi’s message door-to-door in all the states. Have discussed. We have decided that PCC president will start it on 6th of this month. All the leaders will start this yatra from different places. We have also decided who will visit which area taking responsibility for.

He further said that there would be a three-day break on February 24, 25 and 26 due to the AICC meeting in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and would resume later.

“Through this programme, we will take Rahul Gandhi’s message and forgotten promises of the BJP at the Center and the KCR government in the state to the people,” Thackeray said.

To take Rahul Gandhi’s message to every household in Telangana, all the state Congress leaders will undertake similar yatras in their respective areas as per their convenience.

Briefing the media about the programme, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy said that 7 assembly constituencies of Mahabubabad district would be covered in ten days.

“In ten days 7 assembly constituencies of Mahabubabad district will be covered. All leaders of all levels will participate in it. Since new circles are not enough to appoint party presidents and committees, this program will be taken up by the previous leadership only.” Earlier, YSR had taken a padyatra from Chevella during the TDP regime. After that the Congress party came to power. Congress has brought many welfare schemes not only in the state but also in the center. The padayatra of that time helped bring the party to power. Power in the state and at the center. Telangana is now facing the same crisis situation as it was in 2003 during Chandrababu Naidu’s regime,” Mr Reddy said.

He further said that the party has chosen Medaram for the launch of the program as it is the place of Sammakka Saralamma (tribal deities) who fought against the kings and monarchy.

“Congress party will bring confidence in people. MLA Sitakka has fought for poor people and also done a lot of service during Covid. Thus we are starting this program from MLA Sitakka’s constituency. Medaram Sammakka Saralamma (Tribal Deity) who fought against kings and monarchy. We will continue to fight against the government with the same motivation that is troubling the people,” Mr Reddy said.

Coming down heavily on the BJP and Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Mr Reddy said both the parties have worked together on all bills and all elections in the last 8 years.

“At a time when people were looking towards the Congress, both of them unleashed a drama to criticize each other using Raj Bhavan and Pragati Bhavan as a stage. The governor went on to praise KCR. Worked. With crude lies in assembly. Governor has become brand ambassador and spreading lies to cover KCR’s failures. Go to any village of any MLA and see if every house has water or not. Governor tried to cover KCR’s lie. Congress is the only party which is standing against BRS in the state. Policies of BJP and BRS are all same. We have been saying earlier that those two parties are one.
