On the occasion of Holi, Uttar Pradesh Police and Mumbai Police stressed on the importance of ‘consent’ through their social media posts.
A post shared by the Uttar Pradesh Police on Instagram reads, “Balam pichkari jo ‘bina consent’ me mari toh 1090 pe call ho gayi.” “Happy #Holi everyone! Remember consent is key to keeping the festival alive. If you experience any harassment or assault, #Dial112 for police assistance,” she wrote in the caption, adding the hashtag #HoliOverHoliganism with.
The post has garnered over 2,000 likes since being shared.
