Here are 4 ways to reheat deep-fried food:
1. Preheat the Oven
Heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While you’re waiting, take the leftover fried food out of the fridge. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and arrange the food in a single layer on the rack. Allow at least 10 to 30 minutes for the food to come to room temperature. This is necessary because it allows the food to heat evenly.
2. Air Fryer
Preheat air fryer to 375 F. Remove your fried food from the refrigerator and set it aside for 10 to 20 minutes to come to room temperature. Place the fried food in a single layer on the air fryer basket. Cook it for 5-6 minutes, turning once so that it gets cooked evenly.
3. Microwave Technique
Take your fried food out of the refrigerator and set it aside for 10 to 30 minutes or until it reaches room temperature. Place the fried food on a plate and cover it with a paper towel. Microwave for 30 seconds, or until hot. Remember not to over cook it or else it will dry out too much. However, microwave technology won’t give you the crispy texture you want, but it will somewhere. Please Note – Use this technique only if you do not have oven and air fryer at home.
4. Frying Pan or Wok
If you don’t have any of the above listed tools at home, a frying pan or skillet will probably suffice. When it comes to reheating fried food, this method is known as ‘double-frying’ and requires a lot of time and energy. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure the oil reaches a temperature of 300 °F (149 °C). Using tongs, fry the food for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Do not overfill the skillet or pan.
