Dibrugarh: Seven girls hostels of Dibrugarh University were sealed on Sunday after 14 Covid-19 cases were detected. The hostels have been declared as micro-containment zones to prevent the spread of the virus and inmates who have tested positive for covidThose who have been kept in home isolation and are undergoing treatment.
The hostels which have been included in the Micro Containment Zone are aideo handik, NGH, Joymoti, Padmakumari Gohain, Pushpalata Das, Nalinibala Devi And Swarnalata Barua:,
An order was issued by the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority. Biswajit Pegu It said, “The order ‘Assam COVID-19 Control Regulations, 2020’ is made under ‘U/s 34 of the Disaster Management Act 2005’ and comes into force with immediate effect.” The order stated that strict perimeter control should be exercised in micro containment zones by indicating clear entry and exit points.
