Kovid Review Meeting: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said on Saturday that in today’s Kovid review meeting, it has been decided that there is no need to change the guidelines and restrictions issued in the state in view of the increasing cases of infection.
He said that the government has ordered the medical stores to maintain the records of the persons who buy the Kovid Antigen Self Test Kits.
The state has already imposed restrictions to prevent the spread of the infection.
Maharashtra on Friday reported 43,211 new cases, down 3,195 from a day earlier, and 19 fresh deaths linked to the infection. The active tally crossed the 2.60 lakh mark.
The state also reported 238 new cases of the Omicron variant, raising their total to 1,605. With these additions, the number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra rose to 71,24,278, while the death toll rose to 1,41,756.
