The registration for the ‘Precautionary Dose’ announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 25 is now live on the Co-Win portal.
Its administration will start from January 10.
Additional Secretary and Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Vikas Sheel on Saturday announced the opening of registration for ‘precautionary doses’ of COVID-19 vaccine for healthcare, frontline workers and senior citizens above 60.
“The facility of online appointment for ‘Precautionary Dose’ for Healthcare/Frontline Workers and Senior Citizens (60) is now live on Co-Win,” he said in a tweet.
The Union Health Ministry had earlier said that senior citizens with co-morbidities would not be required to produce a doctor’s certificate or prescription at the time of administration of the precautionary dose.
So far, 90 percent of the eligible population of the country has been given a dose of Kovid-19 vaccine.
With the administration of over 90 lakh vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 150.61 crore as of 7 am on Saturday.
According to a Union Health Ministry release, India executed 90,59,360 doses in the last 24 hours.
