Cristiano Ronaldo shared a word on his time with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when the Norwegian was sacked as Manchester United coach after poor results. Solskjaer’s last combined match was an embarrassing 4–1 loss to the team in charge at Watford, a match where they completely dominated and captain Harry Maguire was sent off. The dismissal process had been going on for quite some time but Watford’s defeat was the last nail in the coffin.
As Solskjaer emotionally said goodbye to the club, forward Ronaldo had words of praise for the Norwegian and wished him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
“He has been my striker when I first came to Old Trafford and he has been my coach since I came back to Man. United. But above all, Ole is an outstanding man. Everything his life has reserved for him.” I wish them all the best in that. Good luck my friend! You deserve it!” He wrote on Twitter.

Solskjaer after sacking gave an emotional interview As for United, where he said he hopes left the club in a better position than what he has inherited.
Solskjaer said in an interview with United’s in-house media: “This club is everything to me and together we are a good match, but unfortunately I didn’t get the result we wanted and it’s going to be different for me.” It’s time.”
“You know what this club means to me and what I wanted to achieve here. For the club, for the fans, for the players, for the staff. I wanted us to be the next to challenge the league. Take a step, to win the trophy.
“I would like to thank the Board and the owners for giving me the opportunity as it is not for everyone and I have had the opportunity. I am so honored and privileged to have trusted me to take the club forward, And I really hope I’ll leave it in better shape than when I arrived.
“I think this club has potential. We all love this club and we all want to keep it going.”
Wayne Rooney, on the other hand, came out and said that the players need to do more on the pitch and take the responsibility of sacking Solskjaer.
“I was very disappointed to see that (United) game yesterday because, as a manager, you can build a team and work on the shape and how you want the team to play, but some of the players’ performances don’t matter. There’s no excuse for it.
“It was not acceptable to see players waving their hands around and taking the ball away but placing the blame on other people,” he said.
