CUET-UG final exam could not be held due to technical glitch, 60% overall cleared the exam

As per the initial plan, all the phases of CUET-UG were to end on August 20. However, the exam was postponed and divided into six phases to accommodate the students whose exams were rescheduled due to several glitches in the exam.

According to officials of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the first edition of Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG recorded 60 per cent attendance on Tuesday. He said the examination could not be conducted as 103 candidates were affected due to slow internet speed at a center of Radha Govind University in Jharkhand.

“The examination for these candidates will be conducted at a later date,” a senior NTA official said. As per the initial plan, all the phases of CUET-UG were to end on August 20. From technical glitches to last minute change in exam center and uninformed change in exam dates to cards mentioning back dates, students are facing many of these issues. With 14.9 lakh registrations, CUET, the common gateway for undergraduate admissions to all central universities, is now the second largest entrance exam in the country, surpassing JEE-Main’s average registration of nine lakh.
