CV Anand: Accused used government vehicle for gang rape: Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand | Hyderabad News – Times of India

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner CV Anand Said on Tuesday that among the five accused Jubilee Hills gang rape case, including relatives of politicians, used a government vehicle to rape the 17-year-old survivor. The SUV was given to a prominent leader who heads a major government organization.

On May 28, the survivor and the six accused boys boarded the SUV from a bakery in Banjara Hills and drove around. They returned to the bakery where a boy got off. After this the five accused and the victim reached Jubilee Hills Road number 44, where she was allegedly gang-raped.
“The car in which the crime took place is an official vehicle, which was allotted to the father of one of the accused,” Anand said. “Two cars were used in the crime and both were being driven by minors. He said that they are contemplating to book the parents of the minors but would first verify the facts.
The police commissioner also said that they would increase surveillance on pubs.
Asked why the authorities took so long to register a case against the MLA’s son, Anand said they wanted to corroborate all the evidence with the victim’s statement after taking into account various aspects. “We received the complaint three days after the crime when the father came to know about the girl’s injury. From there counseling took place for 3-4 hours after which the girl revealed what had happened to her on the unfortunate day,” he said.
