Frustrated Rishabh Pant gave an explosive interview in the Indian Premier League towards the end of the game, blaming the umpire’s decision in the final over of the game.
Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals was engulfed in a no-ball controversy in the final over of the chase on Friday night as DC felt they had been robbed by the umpire.
“It wasn’t even close,” said Pant, speaking about the no-ball decision in DC’s 15-run loss against Rajasthan Royals. He said that the third umpire should have intervened in the incident and investigated the entire scene.

Asked whether it was right to send the support staff on the pitch to talk to the umpire, the disappointed DC skipper quipped that it was not right to send someone in, but it was also not right what happened to him.
The situation in the DC game turned a little worse after Rovman Powell chasing 36 runs for his third six off the first three balls of the final over. DC hit hard at the waist-high no-ball decision by the umpires, which they clearly thought would be in their favor.
Things didn’t work out after that, with Pant calling his players back into the dugout, indicating that he was ready to walk away from the game. Thankfully, Powell and Kuldeep Yadav could not do so, otherwise the entire team could have been fined heavily that day.
As things stand, RR have risen to the top of the table after their 15-run win and DC are placed at the sixth position with 6 points to their name.
