From friends to life partners, Arya and Shruti have faced all this. As sarcastic, outspoken Pulp Fiction writer Arya, and his cool, groomed corporate suit CEO wife Shruti decide to leave it at their wedding, all will not be smooth sailing. Although they decide it’s time to separate, the two find unexpected chemistry as they navigate through their issues, and defy the constant question of whether or not they should be together.

Producer Manu Joseph says, “decoupled Is about a person who can see in any situation that others are trained to ignore. Naturally, he has trouble wherever he goes, and this kind of fairness is not healthy for a man in a marriage. One of our goals was to keep it all real. The point of comedy is that it ain’t funny if it’s not real; And the tricky thing about comedy is that it has to be on fire for every component of a scene to work. It was amazing to see Madhavan throwing off his good-boy image for the lead role and delving deeper into his criminal side. Surveen Chawla, playing the role of his long-suffering wife, was particularly challenging as it is extremely difficult to play a normal sane person. And I am grateful to director Hardik Mehta, who taught me that men with great hairstyles can still be very grounded and hardworking. ,

Madhavan also sheds some light on his character, saying, “I play ‘Arya’, a pulp-fiction writer with fairness and frankness as well as a determination not to compromise (ever!) in hilarious. Doer, especially when pitted against his calm and quiet wife Shruti, played by Surveen.”

Surveen Chawla, returning to Netflix as Jojo in Jo sacred games, comments,”decoupled sheds light on a modern couple trying to work through the nuances of marriage, while trying to retain their sanity. Shruti and Arya’s dynamic is unique, honest and it was honestly such a refreshing experience. ,
