Deer with frozen face rescued by two hikers, old video viral on Reddit

The bombing storm that killed dozens of people in the United States over the Christmas weekend continued to ravage parts of the United States and Canada. The extreme cold weather has been called the ‘blizzard of the century’ and has not only afflicted humans but animals as well. A recent video shows a deer’s face covered with snow and completely frozen due to extreme weather conditions. The undated video was recorded by a hiker who managed to rescue the frightened animal.

The video was shared on Reddit yesterday and shows the deer’s face covered in snow and its mouth, eyes and ears completely frozen. It is believed that the deer was attempting to use its head to dig for food under the snow, which is why the face is covered with snow. In the video, you can see that as soon as the hiker approached, the scared deer ran away. However, the passersby were not ready to bow down. They managed to catch the animal and removed the snow from its face. Only after this the animal ran away. The exact location of the video is not yet known.
