Amid a significant drop in fresh Covid-19 cases, Delhi reported 440 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths on Saturday, while the case positivity rate stood at 0.83 per cent, data from the city health department showed. runs. With today’s Covid tally, Delhi’s total caseload rose to 18,59,054, while the total number of deaths stood at 26,119, the health department’s bulletin said. In Delhi, the number of COVID-19 tests conducted a day earlier stood at 53,173.

There has been a decline in the number of daily cases in Delhi after touching a record high of 28,867 on January 13. The city had recorded a positivity rate of 30.6 per cent on January 14, the highest during the ongoing wave of the pandemic.

Wearing of masks is not mandatory in private cars

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) today further relaxed the guidelines for people saying that no fine will be imposed on people traveling together in private vehicles without wearing masks from Monday, February 28.

The latest instructions come after the DDMA’s February-5 order relaxing norms for those traveling alone in private vehicles said they would not be required to compulsorily wear masks.
