Delhi | Fire broke out in a factory in Mangolpuri; no casualties reported

On June 29, a medium-range fire broke out in a factory in Delhi’s Mangolpuri’s Phase-I area.

Acting on the incident, 26 fire tenders are on the spot to douse the fire. As per initial reports of Delhi Fire Department, no casualty has been reported.

SK Dua of Delhi Fire Service said that the fire was reported to be of medium category.

“26 fire tenders were sent to the spot. The fire has now been brought under control. At present there is no news of any casualties. We also used remote control fire fighting machines to douse the fire.”

Earlier today in Maharashtra, a major fire broke out after multiple explosions at a chemical factory in MIDC industrial area in Palghar.

A massive fire broke out in a plastic godown in Badli area behind Rohini Jail in the national capital on Saturday.

In May, a massive fire broke out in a factory in Mundka. As per reports, at least 27 bodies were recovered after the incident, out of which 22 bodies have already been handed over to their families.

The four-story building was used as office space for several companies. According to the Delhi Police FIR, the building did not have fire safety protocol.

Following the incident, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) suspended two officers, including a section officer.

On May 23, a Delhi court remanded the owners of the building- Harish Goel and Varun Goel to three-day police custody in the said fire tragedy case.
