Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate 100 new AC CNG buses on Friday. According to the Chief Minister’s Office, CM Kejriwal will flag off 100 new low floor CNG AC buses at 12 noon today.
Delhi CMO wrote on Twitter, “Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri @ArvindKejriwal will flag off 100 new low-floor CNG AC buses on Friday, 14 January 2022 at 12 noon.”
According to Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, the new AC CNG buses are fully compliant with BS-VI emission norms. 12 meter low floor buses will be equipped with facilities like GPS, CCTV, panic button.

These buses will have pink colored seats for women passengers.

In November last year, the Delhi cabinet had approved the induction of 190 low-floor, air-conditioned, CNG buses in the city’s public transport fleet.
In November, Transport Minister Gehlot said in a tweet, “Congratulations Delhi! The cabinet led by Hon’ble CM @ArvindKejriwal today approved a proposal to include CCTV, GPS, Panic Button and 190 Low Floor AC CNG Buses . Differently Abled Friendly (sic).”
The Delhi government currently operates a total of 3,033 buses under the cluster scheme. And, a total of about 3,500 new electric buses are also being added to the DTC and cluster fleets as per an induction plan of the Department of Transport.
