Due to this, only two lanes going from Jaipur to Delhi were opened for the passengers entering Delhi. Traffic was slow on NH-48 and vehicles were moving from bumper to bumper.
Officials of the Gurugram traffic control room said the traffic on the expressway was slow due to barricades put up by the Delhi Police on the Delhi-Gurugram border and near the Rajokri flyover.
Gurugram Police spokesperson Subhash Boken said, “Police will keep people updated about the traffic situation in Gurugram through official social media handles.”
He said that while regular traffic can pass, checks can slow down or cause jams. “Over 1,000 police forces, including senior officers, have been deployed at all border points,” he said.
