Days after getting a new Lieutenant Governor in the national capital as Vinay Kumar Saxena, the Delhi administration on Monday underwent a major bureaucratic transfer involving 40 employees. The Services Department, which is part of LG Vinay Kumar Saxena, issued the transfer order. Former principal secretary (revenue) and divisional commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar, who was sent to Ladakh last week following media allegations about misuse of official position, has been replaced by 1993-batch IAS officer Khili Ram Meena.
Meena was earlier the principal secretary and director of vigilance. A large number of District Magistrates (DMs) have also been transferred.
2014 batch IAS officer Monica Priyadarshini, who served as the DM of New Delhi district, has been shifted to South district. Santosh Kumar Rai has been made the new DM of New Delhi district.
South DM Sonalika Jiwani has been made Special Secretary, Urban Development. Vishvendra, who is now serving as DM (Southeast), has been promoted as Special Director, Social Welfare.
Sonika Singh, who had earlier served as DM (East) and also had the additional role of DM (Central), has been posted as DM (Central). Vikram Singh Malik, DM (South West) has been appointed as Secretary, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). IAS officer Hemant Kumar will take over as DM (South West) from 2013.
NDMC secretary Isha Khosla has been promoted to DM (South East), while Anil Banka has been promoted to DM (North) (East). 2011 IAS officer Tariq Thomas has been appointed as the Commissioner of Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Delhi Jal Board (DJB) CEO Udit Prakash Rai, who was also the special secretary, health and family welfare, has been promoted as the special secretary for health and family welfare. Rai will be replaced as the CEO of DJB by Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) chairman P Krishnamurthy.
Ankur Garg, a 2003 IAS officer who was posted as Commissioner, Trade and Taxes, has been transferred as Secretary, IT. He will be replaced by SB Deepak Kumar.
Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) CEO Garima Gupta has been appointed as Secretary, Social Welfare and has been given additional charge of Secretary, Women and Child Development and MD of Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Council.
K Mahesh, a 2009 batch IAS officer, will replace him in the DUSIB.
H Rajesh Prasad, a 1995 batch IAS officer, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Public Works Department.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi, which was recently integrated, has got many young officers in its fold. Anjali Sehrawat, 2013 batch IAS officers, Angel Bhati and Vandana Rao, both 2014 batch IAS officers, have been posted as deputy commissioners in MCD.
