Delhi Metro Updates: According to the transporter, parking will not be available at Delhi Metro stations from Sunday morning to Monday afternoon due to security measures for Independence Day. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will continue to operate metro train services as per schedule (DMRC). DMRC announced the news on its official Twitter account. DMRC has also announced that some gates of ITO, Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Delhi Gate will be closed due to the ongoing Independence Day dress rehearsal.
“In view of the security measures adopted on the occasion of Independence Day, parking facility will not be available at Delhi Metro stations from 6:00 AM on Sunday i.e. 14th August 2022 to 2:00 PM on Monday i.e. 15th August 2022.” “It said in a notification.
On Thursday, Delhi Police also issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth movement of vehicles across the capital on Independence Day.

Eight roads will continue to be Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, SP Mukherjee Marg, Chandni Chowk Road, Nishad Raj Marg, Esplanade Road and its link road from Netaji Subhash Marg, Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT and Outer Ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover. Closed for normal traffic, the advisory said.

Noida, Loni, Singhu, Ghazipur, Badarpur, Safia, Maharajpur, Aya Nagar, Auchandi, Surya Nagar, Rajokri, Dhansa, Apsara, Kalindi Kunj, Jharoda, Bhopura, Lal Kuan Pul Prahlad Pur and Tikri Border Commercial and Friday at 10 pm From 11 am on Saturday till 11 am and so on on Sunday and Monday, the transport vehicles, it said. Buses bound for Kauria Bridge or Red Fort or Old Delhi Railway Station will operate via ISBT bridge (Yudhisthir Setu) and terminate at Boulevard Road near Mori Gate U-turn.
