The Delhi Disaster Management Authority in its meeting held on 22 September discussed the situation of COVID-19 in the national capital.

As per the data shared during the meeting, out of the total 1.33 crore beneficiaries eligible for the precautionary dose, only 31.49 lakh (24%) had taken the precautionary dose till September 20.

Keeping in view the upcoming festivals, Shri Saxena said that there is a need for continuous and strict monitoring.

It was also decided that the medical equipment would be shifted to the hospitals where it would be needed.

The spike in cases led to the establishment of 11 COVID care centers in the national capital.

One of these was run by the central government and the rest by the Delhi government. All three centers were scrapped due to the decline in cases.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given his approval for handing over the land to the concerned organisations, but insisted that a proper list be prepared with regard to the equipment, the minutes said.
