Diwali 2022: IRCTC cancels 83 trains on October 23, see full list here

India will be decorated like a bride tomorrow (October 24) as the country witnesses Diwali after a two-year halt. However, for those who have a train to catch today, there is a news for them. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) on 23 October canceled over 80 trains due to various reasons including bad weather conditions, law and order situation, maintenance and operational works, which are to be laid on the tracks today. 83 trains have been completely canceled while 23 trains are partially canceled today. In addition, many trains have also been diverted and rescheduled as a result of operational works, to be laid on tracks, and natural calamities.

Additionally, there are high chances of cancellation of trains on Diwali also, i.e. on 24th October. Therefore, passengers are requested to check the status of their trains before setting out for their respective journey. The cancellation and other changes in train schedules will affect passengers traveling from several cities including Nagpur, Phaltan, Pune, Rampur, Bhatinda, Ratnagiri, Ahmedabad, Sealdah, Howrah and many more.
