The Center has approved the payment of ad-hoc bonus for the financial year 2021-2022, which is equivalent to 30 days from the date of payment. DoE said in an official memorandum that the limit for calculation of monthly emoluments for ad-hoc bonus payments would be Rs 7,000. Adjudicated incentive payments are also available for eligible members of central paramilitary forces and armed forces.
In addition, it will be extended to those personnel of Union Territory Administration who follow the emoluments pattern of the Central Government and are not covered under any other bonus or ex-gratia programme.
The amount of ad-hoc bonus will be determined on the basis of average emoluments or calculation ceiling as per the Memorandum of the Center (whichever is less). The average annual salary would be divided by 30.4, and the number of bonus days paid to employees would be multiplied to determine the amount of the ad-hoc bonus for a day.
To be eligible for payment under these orders, an employee must be employed by March 31, 2022, and they must have also rendered at least six months of continuous service throughout the year 2021–2022.
