The party said on Thursday that DMK MPs would donate their one month’s salary to help beleaguered Sri Lanka. It is Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who is also the ruling DMK president, appealed for donations to help the people of Sri Lanka, while the party has already announced Rs 1 crore for the purpose.
“The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs of DMK will contribute their one month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund,” a party release said. Stalin on Tuesday appealed to people to donate to the Tamil Nadu government to buy essentials like food. And send it to Sri Lanka to help our people, who are grappling with the effects of a battered economy.
