Ever since apps like PayTM, Gpay and PhonePe have come into the lives of customers, most of them prefer to pay digitally to avoid physical bank notes and any hassle of exchanging money in return. However, sometimes people use cash as well. In one such incident, an orthopedic surgeon recently revealed how one of his patients “betrayed” him and how it became a “funny memory”.
Dr. Manan Vora, an orthopedic surgeon who is also a health content creator, took to Meta’s newly launched social media platform Threads to share the news. In a post he wrote, “Recently, a patient actually paid cash for a consultation using this note. My receptionist didn’t check it (because obviously you don’t expect it, right) ?) But it goes to show the extent to which people can go, even if it means deceiving the Doctor.”
He said he couldn’t believe the patient didn’t know about it and “passed it on”. He added, “I refuse to believe that he also did not know about it and passed it on to Han.” Although the doctor admitted that he had been duped of money, he took the incident lightly and said, “Anyway, I had a good laugh and I’ve kept the note because it’s a funny memory, even though I have been robbed of Rs 500.”
Dr Vora also shared a picture of the note which read, “For use in the project school only”.
Since being shared on the platform, the post has garnered over a hundred likes and several comments.
