DPSRU organizes 1st Research Promotion Award – Times of India

New Delhi: Prof. Sharad Wakode, Dr. Sushma Talegaonkar and Prof. Deepti Pandita was awarded the Distinguished Research Award instituted by the Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University. Other award categories include Notable Research Award, Distinguished Research Award, Outstanding Research Award and Research Innovation Award.

Dr. Meenakshi K. Chauhan was honored with the Research Innovation Award. Notable Research Award Prof. Ramesh K. Goel, Prof. Wakode, Prof. Rajiv K. Tonk, Prof. Geeta Agarwal, Prof. Deepti Pandita, Dr. Meenakshi Chauhan, Dr. Prabodh Chander Sharma, Dr. Gaurav Jain, Dr. Mahavir Dhobi, Dr. Sheetal Kalra, Dr. Punita Ajmera, Dr. Varsha Chaurasia, Dr. Anoop Kuma and Dr. Fojiya Zakir.

Some amazing awards were also presented by the Registrar and Vice Chancellor to Dr. Geeta Agarwal, Dr. Mukesh Nandave, Dr. Meenakshi Chauhan and Dr. Madhu Gupta for their outstanding contribution in Research Promotion at DPSRU.

The awards recognize and honor eminent researchers for making impressive contributions to their research fields. The selections for the awards were based on an in-depth analysis of the published high impact factor of research/review publications in 2021.

Faculty in Stanford University’s list of the top 2% most cited in the world from DPSRU; Professor Ramesh K Goel, Professor Deepti Pandita, Dr. Prabodh C Sharma and Dr. Sushma Talegaonkar were also felicitated.

The jury members Prof. Ruchika Malhotra, Dr. Sushma Talegaonkar and Dr. CR Patil were honored for their all time and contribution. Dr. Suraj Pal Verma was honored for his tireless efforts for the compilation of the abstract book.

The Chief Guest, Prof. Arun K. Agarwal, Former Dean, MAMC and the special guest Mr. Naresh Kumar, DIG, BSF graced the occasion with their enlightening words.

Professor Arun Agarwal emphasized on striking a balance between IP protection and public disclosure of science research. Mister. Naresh Kumar congratulated all the award winners and appreciated the move to organize research promotion award ceremony. While addressing the programme, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ramesh K Goel delivered a lecture on various aspects of research and through a Sanskrit shloka he explained the best practices and research methodologies that should be used by researchers.
